In our clinic, after the dosimetrists finish their treatment planning, it must be entered into the medical record system (Multi-ACCESS). Apparently the image from the CT isn’t properly aligned with the treatment plan (in this program, at least), so it must be rescaled.

 Getting dizzy with it.

As soon as I went to work today, Mark showed me how he did image co-registration with an MRI and a CT of a brain tumor patient.

Today I didn’t go to work. I thought I my dentist appointment was in the morning, but apparently it was in the afternoon. The dentist was very nice and unlike the one in Oklahoma, he did most of the work instead of the dental assistants.

Well today was an interesting day. It was my first encounter with the clinical aspect of radiation physics. Now after having taken a year of classes, it is refreshing to see what a MRP actually does in his day-to-day life.
